Wike Gets Kudos Over Okah, Oparaodu, Ndu’s Appointment

Nyesom Wike, has been lauded over the appointment of Barrister Emma Okah as Commissioner for Housing, Barrister Clifford Oparaodu as Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Port Harcourt City Local Government council and Sir Alawari Ndu as Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service.
The commendation was made by the 1980 graduating class of County Grammar School Ikwerre/Etche at a ceremony organized to honour her old boys who are members of the group who were recently elevated by the Rivers State Government.
Describing the governor as one who believes in putting square pegs in square holes, the group, popularly known as “1980 country Run”, described the his of Okah, Oparaodu and Ndu as eminently qualified to serve the state in there capacities.
The body also commended the state governor over his visionary leadership which has recorded great feats in the few days of his administration, noting that it was a sign of greater things to come.
The group expressed the hope that the appointees would justify the confidence reposed in their by the state governor, urged them to remain focused, determined and result – oriented as they have exhibited over the years.
Various speakers at the reception which was hosted by one of the old boys, Dr Amadi Amadi at the Shell Presidential area, the body challenged the appointees to leave lasting legacies that would benefit the society in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the chairman of the caretaker committee of Port Harcourt City Local Court, Barrister Clifford Oparaodu thanked the 1980 graduating set of country Grammar School, Ikwerre/Etche and promised that they will live up to expectations.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of plagues of honour to the three recipients’ who were on hand to receive them.
The occasion witnessed a large turn-out of the 1980 graduating set.
