The Amayanabo of

King Bobmanuel made this call at his palace during a press conference in Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
He stated that the closure of the Abonnema sea port had adversely affected the economic development of the entire Kalabari Kingdom in particular and the South-South region in general, adding that the re-opening of the sea port would go a long way in solving the unemployment problem facing the entire South-South region and drastically reduce crime and youth restiveness in the region.
