Nigeria, Singapore To Sign MoU On Air Service
The Nigerian High Commissioner to Singapore, Mrs Nonye-Rajis Okpara, said on Wednesday that Nigeria and Singapore will sign Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) in Singapore on August 4.
This is contained in a statement issued by Okpara and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
She said the agreement, if fully implemented would help to promote the air services of both countries.
Rajis Okpara said the signing of the agreement would be part of the 2015 edition of ‘Nigeria-Singapore Business and Investment Forum’.
According to her, the forum would bring together both public and private officials from Nigeria and Singapore to explore businesses and investment opportunities.
She said the forum under the theme: ‘Deepening Nigeria-Singapore Bilateral Relations’, would also provide an opportunity for state governments to promote their investment opportunities to Singapore.
According to her, the former Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr Olusegun Aganga is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the event.
She said the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Mrs Uju Hassan-Baba, is expected to present Federal Government policies and measures to encourage foreign direct investment.
Other speakers, she said, included Comptroller General of Customs, Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko, Govs Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Rochas Okorocha of Imo and Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State.
She said speakers would also include the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Prof. Julius Okojie.
