Peterside Urges Nigerians To Support Buhari
The 2015 governorship
candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Dr Dakuku Peterside, has urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve set goals and objectives.
Peterside told newsmen in Port Harcourt last Saturday that the country was passing through hard times.
According to him, issues like security, economy, corruption and Niger Delta are topical and deserve attention.
He explained that these issues raised by President Muhammadu Buhari in his inaugural speech were commendable.
” I am impressed with the President’s inaugural speech. It simply shows that the President is in touch with the reality of Nigeria of today.
” He is connected strongly with the current challenges Nigeria is facing, the area of insecurity, specifically Boko Haram and the issue of Niger Delta.
” He made the issue of Niger Delta one of his focal areas, which is commendable.
“He will review the amnesty programme to ensure that it aligns with the yearnings of the people of Niger Delta and solves the problems it set out to solve,” he said.
Peterside said the President’s decision to take the fight against corruption to serious level was a step in the right direction.
He said one remarkable thing in his inaugural speech was that the president promised to run an all inclusive government.
