Yobo, Ledor To Be Honoured By Ogoni People
The assistant Captain of Nigeria’s senior national team the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo and Globalcom Premier League player, Samuel Ledor have been listed among those to be honoured by the Ogoni Football Organisation, (OFO), organisers of the forthcoming Ogoni Champions Cup at the final of the tournament which kicks off on Sunday.
President of the OFO, Martins Barida Giadom, who made this known while briefing sports writers in Port Harcourt said that Joseph Yobo, would be recognised for his service to the nation, having captained the Super Eagles to several glories and his foundation which has empowered some Ogoni youths.
While his compatriot, Sam Ledor, will receive accolade for his feat in some of the biggest club sides in Nigeria.
Earlier, one of the most talented footballer ever produced in Ogoni land noted that, they (Yobo and Ledor) have made the people of Ogoni proud through their contributions and development of the game describing their achievements as good values worthy of emulation.
Others to be honoured include six individuals who have contributed largely both administratively and sponsorship-wise in football development in the land.
They include Chief Solomon Lah, Leesi Gborogbosi, Chris Yorkina, Hon. Askia Osorolia and Mr. Monday Kponaa.
The occasion is billed to hold during the final match of the Ogoni Champions Cup.
