2015: Kumuyi Harps On Credible Individuals
The General Supretendent
of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi has called on Nigerians to vote conscientiously for individuals that can move the country forward.
He said this during a press conference in Bori shortly after his arrival the state on a week-long visit.
Kumuyi noted that he was in Ogoni land to interact with the people and also share the goodnews of God with them.
The servant of God called on politicians to accept the outcome of the election, stressed the need for free and fair elections.
He advised politicians to uphold the sanctity of life and cautioned against violence.
He cautioned the people on the need to look at where the country is presently and where it will be in future if the right people are not in authority, as this should guide their choice of the leaders of the country.
Earlier, the clergyman had visited the Chairman Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, Gbenemene Tai, Royal Majesty King Godwin Giniwa to brief him on his mission.
Kumuyi said the communication gap between the King and the prophets was responsible for most of the problems in the communities and called on all prophets of God not to be far from the King.
Responding the Monarch described the visit as timely, adding that it was a privilege for the people of Ogoni to have him in their midst at this time.
He therefore called for prayers for Ogoniland and the state in general.
