Lawyer Tasks Erema Students On Future Plans
A legal luminary, Dr
Isaac Okoro has tasked Erema students in Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State to shun violence and embrace education and knowledge acquisition as a means of securing their future.
Okoro gave the charge while speaking at a seminar organised by the Erema Students Association, at Erema town in Onelga, recently.
He described education as an ornament and emphasized that only its relentless pursuit and domestication can bring about the competence and capacity for development.
Dr Okoro, who is also an assistant Prof of law in the United State, pointed out that true education began with recognizing, appreciating and practicising the true laws of nature, informal forms of education are required for the total upbringing of an individual.
He called on the Erema students to see themselves as the light of the country and also serve as cutting edge for change and development.
In his keynote address, the president of Erema Students Association (ESA), Comrade Obulor Nnadum, said the mission of the Association was to promote academic excellence, build strong country and develop professional mind-sets among Erema students.
He assured that his exco would work hard to achieve the vision and objective of the body.

Education Commissioner Seeks media collaboration in Rivers
The River State Commissioner for Education, Dr Peters Nwagor has called on media practitioners in Rivers State to deploy their various communication platforms toward promoting government programmes and policies aimed at achieving sustainable development in the education sector. Dr. Nwagor made the appeal when members of the Etche Ethnic Practicing Journalists (EEPJ) paid him a courtesy visit in Office in Port Harcourt. The Commissioner emphasized the strategic role of the media in shaping public perception, promoting government initiatives, and supporting policies capable of improving the quality of education and human capital development in the state.
