Navy chief Applauds School For NECO Exam Success
The Chief of Naval
Staff, Vice-Adm. Jubrin Usman, has commended Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Akpabuyo, for emerging overall best in 2014 National Examination Council’s examination in Cross River.
Usman made the commendation when he commissioned a multipurpose student hall for the school in Akpabuyo, Cross River last Wednesday.
He said the school would continue to be a role model among schools in Nigeriaý.
“We commend the school’s Commandant, Regina Eleazu-Uriri for her giant stride in making the school an excellent example of what the navy stands for in environmental cleanliness and academics.”
The performance had earned the two best students scholarships and medals from Learn Africa Development Foundation to further their studies.
The Commandant, Eleazu-Uriri, said the award also posed a challenge for the school to continue to provide excellent academics to the students.
“Attaining the status of best secondary school in Cross River State was not easy due to competition to get Learn Africa Foundation Development Annual Award.’’
Usman’s visit was part of his end-of-year activities to inaugurate projects under the Eastern Naval Command.
