SMEDAN, Computer Firm Partner To Subsidise ICT
In order to provide sub
sidized Information and Communication Technology (ICT) platform, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Plc.
Speaking at the ceremony recently in Abuja, the Director General, SMEDAN, Alhaji Batune Masari, said the synergy will eliminate all the bottleneck in the industry.
The other aim was to provide an e-commerce platform that would enable them sell their goods and services online by creating a virtual store for each SME on the internet he said.
Masari, hinted that it would also enable the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to operate at a very low cost.
He emphasised that the challenges would be eliminated if the potentials of the MSMEs sub sector of the economy is fully realized.
Also speaking, the founder and Chief Executive Officer, CNG, Mr Austin Okere, said the collaboration would boost the development of MSMEs in the country.
He said the latest World Bank report on cost of doing business showed that Nigeria has moved five steps upward.
