National Team Call-Up Exites Tlodane
Polokwane City striker Puleng Tlolane has ex
pressed delight following his maiden national team call-up to Bafana Bafana.
Coach Shakes Mashaba named Tlolane in his 23-man squad to host Ivory Coast for the Nelson Mandela International friendly on Sunday.
The Zebediela-born, current leading PSL goalscorer with seven goals, says he’s speechless and cannot express how he feels after the news.
“I don’t know what to say really, I’m very happy and I give credit to my teammates and the technical team – they’ve been supportive,” said Tlolane.
“If I ever get a chance to play, I will make use of it and I plan to play my normal game with no unnecessary pressure on myself.
“I’m always ready to give my best especially for getting such an opportunity, it’s always been my dream to play for Bafana and I plan to go there and shine as I’m doing at club level.”
Meanwhile the Elephants coach, Herve Renard, has announced his 20-man squad as they’re expected to touch down in the country today.
The match is set to get underway at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday afternoon, kick-off at 15:00
