L-R: Shell Chief Geophysicist, Reginald Mbah, Manager, Geo-Solutions, Sam Ezugworie, Chairman, CB Geo-Solutions, Dr Bank Anthony Fubara, Shell GM, Development, Bayo Ojulari, GM, NCD, Igo Weli, MD, CB Geo-Solutions, Chidiebere Offor, and John Yule of Shell, shortly after the seismic data acquisition contract signing in Port Harcourt.
The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured that the party will present the best candidates for all elective posts in the 2015 general elections.
The state chairman of the party, Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya gave the assurance in a statement in Port Harcourt at the weekend.
In the statement signed by his media Assistant, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, Ikanya said the APC will defeat the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the next year’s governorship and other elections and advised party supporters not to worry as there was no visible opposition in the state.
According to Ikanya, the PDP is only blowing hot air and will be disgraced at the polls next year.
The party Chairman said there was no way PDP could dislodge APC in the State during next year’s polls, adding that the party is ever ready for the election.
He further boasted that APC as a party is positioned to win both the Rivers State governorship elections and the Presidency.
He however said most of the aspirants on the platform of the APC are involved in what he called in-house campaigns stressing that by next week most of them will be encouraged by the family to go out for campaigns
According to him, ‘If Wike is allowed by the leadership of the PDP to emerge as the governorship flag bearer, it will mean that for 24 years, the people of Rivers upland would have ruled the state at the expense and great marginalisation of the other major ethnic nationalities’.”
”APC has been divinely set up to address the evil, injustice and lack of equity in PDP. Based on this fact we as a party have zoned our governorship slot to the South East Senatorial District.
