NPFL Top Scorer Bags N3.6m
Eunisell, West Africa’s leading specialty chemicals and oilfield solutions company, will honour Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United with the prestigious Eunisell Boot Award after he emerged top scorer in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season with 18 goals.
The award ceremony will take place tomorrow at the Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, where Yusuf will be presented with a N3.6m cash prize, calculated at N200,000 per goal, a hallmark of the Eunisell Boot’s reward structure.
Now in its seventh year, the Eunisell Boot has become one of the most coveted accolades in Nigerian football, shining a spotlight on the league’s top strikers and reinforcing corporate support for domestic talent.
“At Eunisell, we believe in excellence and performance, the core of our brand,” said Chika Ikenga, Group Managing Director of Eunisell. “The Eunisell Boot is not just an award; it’s our long-term commitment to rewarding hard work and developing Nigerian football. Anas Yusuf’s 18-goal haul is a testament to what happens when talent meets opportunity.”
Yusuf’s stellar performance not only earned him national recognition but also made him the second Nasarawa United player, after Sunusi Ibrahim (2019), to win the Eunisell Boot. His clinical finishing and consistency throughout the season have drawn praise from fans and analysts alike.
Since its inception in 2018, the Eunisell Boot has honoured some of the NPFL’s most prolific forwards, including: Junior Lokosa (2018 – Kano Pillars), Sunusi Ibrahim and Mfon Udoh (2019 – Nasarawa United and Enyimba), Israel Abia (2020 – Rangers) and Chijioke Akuneto (2022 – Rivers United).
This year’s edition is significant as Eunisell marks a decade of dedicated support to Nigerian football. Beyond the boot award, the company is also a key sponsor of Abia Warriors FC, reflecting its broader commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and driving the sport’s development from grassroots to professional levels.
“This year’s ceremony will be about more than celebrating one player,” Ikenga added. “It’s a milestone in our journey of using sports to inspire, invest in, and transform lives.”

PH To Host 2026 NWFL Super Six
In a statement released by the league, the competition is scheduled to take place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, with six clubs set to battle for the league title at the end of the 2025/26 season.
NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, said the choice of Port Harcourt reflects the Rivers State Government’s continued support for women’s football and its successful hosting of the league’s Annual General Assembly last year.
The Super Six tournament will feature the top three teams from Group A and Group B of the regular season competing in a round-robin format, with each club playing five matches over nine days.
Qualified teams for the competition include defending champions Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and debutants Abia Angels.
The NWFL Premiership has produced four different winners in the last five editions, with Rivers Angels winning in 2021, Bayelsa Queens claiming the title in 2022 and 2025, Delta Queens triumphing in 2023, and Edo Queens emerging champions in 2024.
The league also urged participating clubs to comply with all competition regulations and directives ahead of the championship. The Super Six will determine Nigeria’s representative for the WAFU-B qualifiers for a place at the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League and ultimately the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
Teams are expected to arrive on Friday, June 5, when the draw ceremony and pre-match meeting will also take place. Matchdays are scheduled for June 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14, with rest days in between before the tournament concludes with the trophy presentation ceremony.
