Rivers CP Eulogises LG Boss Over Donation Of Vehicles
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP O lugbenga Adepoju has applauded the efforts of the Chairman of Gokana Local Government Council, Hon Monday Dumiye in the fight against crime.
CP Adepoju expressed gratitude to the chairman for assisting the police with operational vehicles to ease their operations.
He made the commendation while receiving four operational vehicles from the council chairman at Kpor, the council headquarters recently.
Represented by the Bori Police Area Commander ,ACP Isa Gumel, the Police Commissioner said the donation of the operational vehicles has shown the chairman’ s zeal to partner with the police to sustain the existing peace in the area.
He explained that it will go a long way to boost their morale in carrying out their professional duties, adding that the vehicles will be used for the purpose for which they are donated.
He promised that the police will maintain the vehicles for effective service delivery.
CP Adepoju noted that the commitment and solidarity of the council boss are highly appreciated.
He said the police had been on their toes to ensure that Bori Area Command enjoys a conducive environment, and He commended the support of the stakeholders in making the area peaceful, leading to socio-economic development of the area .
He noted that the police under CP Adepoju has zero tolerance for crime, saying necessary steps have been taken to sustain the tempo, while urging all hands to be on deck in the business of security.
Earlier, the Kpor Divisional Police Officer, CSP Ikwo Kelvin Lafieghe expressed joy over the efforts of the council chairman to win the battle against criminality.
She said the police will justify the confidence reposed in them by the council authorities, and assured the chairman that the vehicles will serve tremendously towards checkmating crime, saying men under her will put in their best to ensure the protection of lives and property.
