Members of Royal Conquers International Church (Home of Testimony and Thanksgiving), Port Harcourt Rivers State, have commemorated the birthday of the founder and General Overseer of the church, Rev. Godstime Isaac Elewa in a grand style.
In a brief church service held to commemorate the birthday recently at the church auditorium in Port Harcourt, the Senior Pastor of the church and the celebrant , Rev. GodstimeElewa said that the reason for the celebration and commemorating his birthday was not to eat and drink but to praise and thank the Amighty God for His grace and also to use the occasion to render services to humanity .
According to him, “My main reason to celebrate my birthday is to render service to humanity or mankind not based on eating and drinking but on impacting on the lives of others.”
Taking his sermon from the Holy Book of Psalm 23, the man of God stated that for him to be servant of the Lord was a grace because he was called to the race.”Heaven called me and I am actually serving the Lord with my household and faithful of this church”, he said.
He used the occasion of his birthday celebration to call on people to continue to look up to God and serve the Lord diligently in order to be great and attract blessings and favour, adding that human beings cannot do without the Lord
Elewa hinted that since he began to serve the Lord, he had no regrets “It is good to serve the Lord. In fact, serving the Lord is good. And since I began to serve the Lord and mankind, I don’t have any regrets.” Rev. Elewa asserted
.Also speaking at the occasion, Pastor Innocent Okogbule said the celebrant is a philanthropist that gives out several gifts to people generously .
“During his birthday, Rev. Elewa does not sit down to receive gifts but he gives out several gifts to church faithful, friends and well wishers”.
He also bears the burdens of the less privileged in society.”
He also described Rev. Elewa as a dedicated servant of God who loves God and is always ready to show leadership at different spheres of life.

Rivers Commissioner Commends WAEC Conduct, Vows Sanctions for Malpractice
The Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, has commended the orderly conduct of the ongoing 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in the state and urged schools to sustain the standard.
Dr. Nwagor gave the commendation on Tuesday during a monitoring tour of selected secondary schools in Port Harcourt and environs where the WAEC exam is ongoing.
The commissioner, who was accompanied by directors and monitors from the Ministry of Education, said he was impressed with the peaceful atmosphere at the centres visited.
“The students conducted themselves properly and wrote their papers under conducive conditions. Invigilators and supervisors also performed their duties professionally,” he stated.

Nwagor noted that the Rivers State Government had invested heavily to ensure the smooth and credible conduct of the examination across the state
He urged candidates to reciprocate government’s effort by shunning all forms of examination malpractice and focusing on their studies.
“Government has done so much to ensure successful examinations in our schools. Students should take advantage of it by remaining focused,” the commissioner said.
While no case of malpractice was recorded in the centres inspected, Dr. Nwagor warned that any principal, teacher, invigilator, or official caught aiding malpractice would face strict sanctions in line with regulations.
He also commended school administrators, teachers, WAEC officials, and security personnel for upholding the integrity of the process.
Centres visited included County Grammar School, Ikwerre/Etche; Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borokiri; Government Secondary School, Borokiri; and Pabod Model Secondary School.
