Cleric Tasks Governors On Rice Importation
A Port Harcourt-based cleric, Prophetess Elizabeth Onuoha has called on governors across the 36 States of the federation to impress on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to grant them access to the importation of rice into the country.
She said this would go a long way in cushioning the effects of the current hardship on Nigerians.
The woman of God said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
She said that the current economic crisis facing the country requires the prayers of every Nigerians, adding that both Christians and Muslims must call on God to have mercy and bless our leaders with wisdom to be able to run the affairs of this country.
Prophetess Onuoha explained that God had revealed to her to tell the 36 state Governors to jointly meet with President Bola Tinubu to permit them to import rice in order to reduce the effects of the current economic crunch facing the nation, adding that failure on the advice will tell grave doom on the citizens and wellbeing of the nation.
“I was in my dream when God called me -telling me that I should tell the Governors in the 36 States of the country to meet with President Bola Tinubu to grant them the entry to import rice so that our people will not die of hunger. I think that what is happening in our country has happened before to the children of Israel, all we need is prayer for God to forgive our sins wherever we have sinned against Him,” she said.
Mrs. Onuoha who is of the Assemblies of God Church, admonished Christian and Muslim faithful to choose a good place in their quiet time to pray for divine interventions into the affairs of the country.
“we have been praying violently against those we hate but still God still allowed them to be alive. I think that it’s time for us to change from our prayer topic to asking God to give our leaders the needed wisdom, love, knowledge and understanding so that they can run this nation the way God wants,” She said.
She said as Christians and Muslims, our prayer point must not be centred on our brothers and sons to die or even those that have offended us in any way, but to centre it on love and God to give those we call our enemies the wisdom and understanding to change from their negative paths.
“Every time you hear people pray, die, die, die and still most of the people they want to die are still alive while some of them have died.
“God is not happy about this kind of prayer. So, God has asked me to warn people about this. “He wants us to change. He wants us to have love for one another,” she said.
