Fellowship Holds Thanksgiving Service
The Esara Royal Fellowship, an interdenominational worship centre, recently held its end of year thanksgiving service at Esara Palace in Rumuokurushi Community in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The vision bearer of the fellowship and Nyerisi Mbam Oro-Esara Kingdom, King Sidney Worlu used the opportunity to thank God for the event and for His redeeming love and protection as well as the divine peace the Kingdom has continued to enjoy all these years.
He said God loves those who love Him, as could be seen in Proverbs 8:17.
It was, indeed, a delightful sight as the participants sang, danced and glorified God, for according to them, His hands had been mightily upon the royal family and the entire Kingdom.
As it were, the occasion was spirit-filled and a clear demonstration of love and joy, coming from the hearts of a people who are in love with God.
In his sermon, the guest preacher, Rev Ben Nkpe preached a message tagged, ‘God Deserves Our Thanksgiving’, wherein he urged the worshippers to grow and develop thankful hearts by always giving praises to the Creator.
While quoting profusely from the Bible, the cleric eulogised the Paramount Ruler of Oro-Esara Kingdom for dedicating the Kingdom to God and for living as an example of a trustful believer since ascending the ancient throne of Nyerisi Mbam Oro-Esara in 2002.
He further urged the people of the area to put their trust in God in spite of the challenges and persecutions in the world.
The preacher also advised the people to emulate the lifestyle of their King so as to enjoy the protection, peace and blessings of God, and stressed the importance of praise, worship and thanksgiving, which he noted, are weapons to move the hands of God.
“When you thank God for His past deeds, you are asking Him for more”, he said.
The event was symbolic in a way, as it was in all ramifications King Worlu’s acknowledgement of God’s benevolence and the all-round protection and peace the entire Oro-Esara Kingdom has enjoyed and would continue to enjoy from God with the monarch on the throne.
This is particularly against the backdrop of the monarch’s disclosure that his Kingdom had inaugurated a weekly Bible study every Thursday and Sabbath worship on Saturdays in the Esara Royal Fellowship.
