A’Ibom Expects Increased Primary School Intakes
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has stated that school’s enrollment in the state public Primary Schools will increase due to ongoing massive investment in remodelling and improvement of the teaching workforce in the education sector within the state.
Eno, while inspecting ongoing remodelling works at “Christ the King Primary School”, along Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo, executed by the State Government as the pilot model primary school in the State, expressed hope that public school system will experience high population explosion .
The Governor appreciated the pace and quality of work of the project executed, expressing hope that the project will be completed as scheduled to enable the pupils return to the school.
He said when the project is completed; it will meet the ARISE Agenda model for education infrastructure aimed at providing conducive learning environment for pupils.
The state’s helmsman also disclosed that more contracts have been awarded to replicate the model primary school across the state.
His words: “I don’t see a child that would not want to come to a school like this. When you talk of high number of out-of-school-children, it’s not a school like this; a child would even be dreaming of schooling here.
“So, that’s what I think Akwa Ibom deserves and that’s what we will replicate across the length and breadth of this state”.
He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that people of the state benefit from their support for him to emerge as governor through lofty investments in various sectors of the state’s economy.
“As God gives us grace and the funds, we will continue to invest in education, health, tourism, agriculture, and everything you think we can do. We will continue to pursue the ARISE Agenda”, he said .
