Rivers United GM Applauds New Sports Commissioner
The General Manager of Rivers United, Chief Okey Kpalukwu, has described the appointment of Barrister Christopher Green as the Commissioner for Sports in the State as well deserved.
He said that the appointment came at a critical time in the history of the state and nation in terms of sports development which underscores the vision and high premium on the sector by Governor Nyesom Wike.
This was contained in a statement signed by him and made available to Tidesports, on Saturday. He further described Barrister Green as a gentleman of great intelligence, astute sports administrator and development expert.
“With your capacity and achievements gathered over the years, I have no doubt in mind that you will bring your wealth of experience garnered over the years to bear on your new assignment.
‘On this auspicious occasion, I join your family, friends and well-wishers to thank God almighty for your life which has been marked by outstanding accomplishments and enduring legacies” Chief Kpalukwu told the new Sports Commissioner.
He prayed God to continue to chart his path and bless him with more wisdom in order to bequeath milestones in the sports sector.
