Joint Council Reaffirms Williamson’s Leadership
The National Leadership of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council(NJPSNC), Trade Union side, has reaffirmed its support to the current leadership of the Rivers State Public Service Joint Negotiating Council headed by Comrade Godwin Williamson as Acting Chairman.
The NJPSNC which made its position known in a statement dated Wednesday, July 18, 2022 and signed by its National Secretary, Comrade Bomoi Mohammed Ibraheem, acknowledged a letter from the Rivers State Public Service Joint Negotiating Council, being a communiqué issued after its meeting of 30th June, 2022 in Port Harcourt, suspending the former Chairman of the Council, Comrade Emecheta Chuku.
According to the statement, “Consequently, suspension of the former Chairman stands.’’
“The National Leadership of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council hereby solicits for adequate support for their recognition to guarantee peaceful and seamless industrial and labour relations in Rivers State,’’ the statement said.
