Community Lauds LG Boss Over Youth Empowerment, Dev
The people of Gure Community in Khana Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State, have lauded the Chairman of the LGA, Dr. Bariere Thomas, for what they called his pragmatic approach to development in the area within his one year in office.
The leadership of the community also commended the chairman for restoring peace, unity and love in the area, particularly in Gure community.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman of Gure, ASP. Nekabari Mmbip; Youth President, Comrade Bright Friday and Community Leader, Dr. Moses S. Neebee, and made available to The Tide.
According to the statement, the youth empowerment programme introduced by the Council Chairman has drastically reduced cultism and social vices in the area.
“We are happy that today peace and unity has returned to Khana LGA, particularly Gure community. Apart from that his youth empowerment scheme and grading of Gure Community road for easy access is worthy of commendation.
“We want to say that the Chairman engaging the youths meaningfully has drastically reduced cultism and other social vices in the area. Honestly we really appreciate him”, the statement said.
