Women Hail Wike For Giving Rivers New Identity
Sequel to the heightened political activities in the country in preparation for the 2023 general election, Opobo/Nkoro women have applauded the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for giving the people of the state a new lease of life through quality development projects and his gallant political outing.
Speaking at a thanksgiving rally of the Women Prayer Network, last Monday, in Opobo Town, the Facilitator, Mrs. Sotonye Toby Fulton, eulogised Governor Nyesom Wike for putting Rivers State in the front burner, adding that besides his various human development projects, he has further given Rivers people a new identity as a people of exceptional courage in his outstanding performance at the just concluded PDP presidential primaries that shook the entire nation.
Fulton congratulated the governor for his exceptional achievements, and urged the women to continue to pray for him, especially for the love he has for Opobo/Nkoro in not only completing the road to the LGA, but for also supporting their son as the PDP governorship flag-bearer for the 2023 elections.
She glorified God for the blessings upon the people of Opobo/Nkoro that made the LGA to be favoured, and also for the actualization of the dividends of democracy in the local government area and other parts of Rivers State by the Wike-led administration.
Fulton similarly commended the PDP standard bearer in the state for the 2023 general election, Siminialayi Fubara for supporting the Opobo/Nkoro Women Prayer Network over the years.
Earlier, a minute of silence was observed in honour of two young Rivers men who died in an accident while returning from the APC presidential primaries held in Abuja, and the worshippers that were gruesomely murdered at a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
