10 Ships With Frozen Fish, PMS, Others Arrive Rivers/Warri Ports, Today
A total of ten ships laden with cargoes will arrive Rivers Port Complex, Port Harcourt, and Warri Port in Delta State today to discharge cargos.
This was contained in the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Weekly Shipping Position Publication, copy of which was made available to The Tide in Port Harcourt.
Both ports, located in Eastern Nigeria, are involved in exportation and importation of goods and services in the region and beyond.
The publication said the ships would arrive at different berths and terminals to discharge its cargoes.
The weekly gave the names of the vessels for Rivers Port Complex as Pauline, Savana Breeze, Amano T and ST Nenne, while Warri Port will play host to ST Walga, Elizabeth G Spirit, Ozochukwu, Laperouse, Davide B and Errina.
Names of the shipping agents for Rivers Port Complex, according the weekly are Jfdor, Super Maritime Nig Limited, WhiteWater, and West Atlantic Ports Services Nig Limited.
Agents for Warri Port are Amco, Integrated Shipping Services, Allray Maritime Services, Admiral and Fountain Shipping.
The statement added that the ships for Rivers Ports Complex were laden with Frozen Fish, Bulk Wheat, Gypsum, Premium Motor Spirits (PMS) and Propane, and ships for Warri Port are laden with PMS, Inballast, Crude Oil, Butane and Base oil.
It also noted that with the arrival of PMS and crude oil, the products will no longer be scarce, but available to its end users in the region
The arrival of the ships would obviously boost and stimulate socio- economic activities, while also improving maritime in Eastern ports, as well as increase trade and commerce in the sub region.
