2023: Group Drums Support For Fubara
Thousand of youths of Niger Delta region in Rivers State recently staged a solidarity rally in Port Harcourt in support of the peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara’s victory at the PDP primaries.
The group, under the aegis of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) urged the people to back the governorship aspiration of the man who, they said, has the capacity and leadership acumen to win the election for the party and lead the State to the next level of development.
National Cordinator of the group, Hon Ibitamuno Cookey-Gam, called on the electorate in the State to rally support for Fubara as the person to solve the myriads of challenges in the State.
“As critical stakeholders in the State, we are duty bound to lend our voices to the great movement about to take the whole state by storm.
“We have seen the good, bad and ugly. The emergence of Fubara on board is a good omen designed for our great State because of his numerous contributions to the sustenance of our nascent democracy over the decades”, Cookey-Gam, said.
He explained that Fubara’s aspiration presents an opportunity to turn the fortunes of the State around, going by his leadership antecedents.
According to him, the name Siminialayi has been a household name in Ibani ethic nationality because of the tremendous love and respect he has demonstrated to his people over the years.
“We wish to reiterate that Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara is a Rivers man, and will extend the same care to the entire people of the State if elected Governor come 2023”, he said.
