Abe Hails Justice Mary Odili At 70
Frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general election in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe, has congratulated retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Mary Odili on her 70th Birthday celebration and a meritorious service to the nation.
Abe, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Parry Benson, described her as a source of inspiration to the younger generation, as she serves out an impactful career on the bench.
He said Justice Mary Odili has left an indelible mark on the sands of time and will always be remembered for her diligence, hard-work, and unblemished integrity as a Magistrate through all the hierarchical levels up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
“The history of the bench will not be complete without some of her landmark judgements, which has contributed in no small measure to the growth of jurisprudence in Nigeria”.

The Head of Service (HoS) of Rivers State, Dr. Mrs. Inyingi S. I. Brown, has commended Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for approving befitting accommodation for Permanent Secretaries in the state.

According to the Head of Service, Governor Fubara has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to the welfare of civil servants in Rivers State, stressing that such gestures underscore his people-oriented leadership style. Speaking on behalf of the Body of Permanent Secretaries, Dr. Brown congratulated Governor Fubara on the occasion of his 51st birthday, describing him as “a Governor who leads by serving.”

As part of activities to mark the governor’s birthday, the Body of Permanent Secretaries announced the sponsorship of 329 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for indigent students across the state.
A breakdown of the initiative shows that 319 forms will be distributed across the 319 political wards in Rivers State, while five forms are allocated to non-indigenes and five forms to persons living with disabilities.
