Plateau United Extends Unbeaten Runs
Plateau United continued their impressive form in the Nigeria Professional Football League by holding Enyimba to a 1-1 draw in Aba.
With the results Peace Boys extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches and have now picked 26 points from last 10 matches.
Plateau United also moved level on points with leaders Rivers United with 38 points each, but Rivers United have a game in hand.
As for Enyimba International, they remain 8th on the table and 13 points below the leaders.
Enyimba started on positive note and they got their nose in front in the 28th minute when Victor Mbaoma made it 1-0.
The Enyimba’s topscorer latched onto Austin Oladapo’s exquisite ball over the defence line before lobbing the ball over a hapless Suraj Ayeleso.
The visitors however levelled the scores in the 71st minute, through Austine Opara’s brilliant effort.
He controlled Haggai Katoh’s ball and then flicked it over a marker before volleying beyond John Noble.
