Emmanuel Dangles 5,500 Jobs Before Youths
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has asked youths of the state to warm up for 5,500 job opportunities at the commencement of operation of seven field handled by NPDC/NOSL located in the State by the end of 2022.
Governor Emmanuel stated this when he inspected the NPDC and NOSL oil and gas exploration in OML – B site at Atiabrikang field in Eastern Obolo Local Government Area.
The Governor commended the companies for diligent jobs and was satisfied with the level of work on going at the project site executed in partnership with them to meet up the 5,500 jobs for the teeming youths in the state.
The Governor appreciated the people of Eastern Obolo for their understanding in maintaining peace which demonstrates their maturity, and a good testimony that they are not crisis local government area. He also thanked the implementing partner for their cooperation towards actualising the projects.
“I am impressed with the level of work and believe before the end of 2022, the project would be completed for the benefit of the state”.
The state Governor advised the youths to be peacefu, law-abiding and cooperate with the company for them to speed up the jobs.
The Chief Executive Officer, Sterling Oil, Mr. Mohit Barot and the Managing Director, NPDC, Mr. Alli Zarah, commended the government for the peaceful environment to execute their project, and assured them of quality and standard job that meets international standard, accepted across the globe.
