It’s Nothing Open Championship Has Achieved Its Aims – Organiser
The organiser of It’s Nothing Open Football Championship, Abalama, in Asari Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, Coach Nicky Otaji, has said that the championship has achieved its aim for uniting youths.
He lauded the sponsor of the tournament, Mr. Dappaye Dappa, for his selfless services he has rendered to develop Abalama community
Coach Otaji, stated this while fielding questions from sports journalists, shortly after the opening ceremony of the tournament, at Comprehensive Secondary School, Abalama, last Wednesday.
According to him, Dappa has single handedly sponsored the competition to ensure that youths in the area were meaningfully engaged during and after the festive season.
“I thank Mr Dappaye Dappa, for sponsoring this tournament, he was supposed to attend the opening ceremony but he was not here today, I believe in our subsequent games he be around.
The man has been doing developmental projects in the community with his money. Honestly Dappa is a real philanthropist. As youths, we are praying for him to continue his good works and God’s guardiance,” coach Otaji said.
He revealed that the championship will be an annual event to enable the area discover hidden talents that can represent the LGA, State and Nigeria at large.
