Perm Sec Lauds Wike Over Support For Churches
The Permanent Secretary in the office of Secretary to the State Government, Dr. George Nweke, says the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike’s support for Church building in the State was unprecedented.
Nweke, made the commendation, during the Golden Jubilee/Thanksgiving Service of Rt. Rev. Okechukwu Nwala, at Okomoko, in Etche Local Government Area in the State, last Sunday.
According to him, Wike is a true lover of Christ, whom God has used to build the Church.
“I must thank Governor Wike whom God has used to build the Church, especially St. Mathias Cathedral, in Diocese of Etche (Anglican Communion). The Governor is a true lover of Christ by his demonstrations” Dr. Nweke said.
The Permanent Secretary used the forum to call on Nigerians to emulate Chief Wike by actively involving in building the church.
“I want to say that it is important for others to join in building the vineyard of God.
‘A good thing has begun ,it is a blessing to the land of Etche.
“Any contribution made towards building this particular church project will be a blessing to the person” he stated.
He said the church remained sacrosanct in the social- economic and spiritual growth of any Nation
The Permanent Secretary described the celebrant as a blessing to the land of Etche, as he has distinguished himslf.
