Group Hails Chairman’s Performance
As the administration of the Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Enyiada Cookey-Gam, marked its first 100 days in the governance of the area recently, a group under the aegis of Benjah International Security Consultant, has commended the admin-istration, especially on its remarkable feats within the period, believing that more is on the way to better the lots of the electorate in the area developmentally.
Speaking with The Tide recently in Opobo, Chairman of the group, Captain Bethel Uranta (rtd) extolled the good leadership qualities of Cookey-Gam, saying his administration has commissioned people-oriented projects.
He stressed that since the creation of Opobo/Nkoro in 1996, no leader was able to build better bridges of development than Cookey-Gam, adding that with the avalanche of projects currently executed, the people in the next four years, will benefit immensely from the Cookey-Gam led administration. Uranta on behalf of the group, commended the chairman for restoring electricity to the catchment communities and for the numerous appointments offered to the people, appealing to the council chairman to attach much importance to youth development by way of creating skills acquisition centres in all the 11 wards of the LGA, which will encourage them to be skilful, as well as be gainfully employed.
