Club Owners Want LMC/NFF To Secure Sponsorship
The Nigerian Club Owners Association has tasked the League Management Company to get sponsors for Nigeria professional football league, before the end of current season.
The association stated this during their quarterly meeting held on Monday at the Reno Hotels in Abuja.
According to a communique made available to the media, the association disclosed that the league was on the back foot, due to lack of sponsors and they charged the organisers and Nigeria Football Federation to come up with solutions, otherwise they would have to step in.
“We observed with deep concern that in the last four seasons the NPFL had no sponsors which has indirectly affected the progress of the league, it therefore tasked the LMC to ensure that it secured sponsorship for the league before the end of the season, otherwise the club owners would have no other choice than to step in,” said the club owners.
Meanwhile, the body also praised the League Management Company (LMC) for sustaining the NPFL TV which has given the league a boost and enjoined all football stakeholders and fans to subscribe to the NPFL TV channel.
