Vigilante Group Vows To Rid Community Of Criminals
Rumuosi Security Planning and Advisory Committee, says its mandate to sanituse the community and its environs remans sacrosanct.
The Commander, Amadi Owhondah said the peace of Rumuosi also remains their watchword.
Amadi, the chief security officer of the community, while speaking in his office yesterday described Rumuosi as one of the peaceful communities in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Rumuosi CSO said since the arrival of the local vigilante, the community has known peace, assuring that the peace achieved must be sustained.
He said the cordial relationship between the traditional institution, security operatives and other relevant bodies has been of great help to the group.
Amadi further pleaded with the recalcitrant youths to embrace peace as it is the only panacea to the growth of any society which Rumuosi is no exception.
He explained that the group has often been at alert to confront any security challenge and added that any one caught has always been handed over to the police for necessary action.
He enjoined residents of Rumuosi to report any suspicious moment to them as security of lives and property should be the concern of everyone.
Amadi also appealed to the Governor of the state, Chief Nyesom Wike to assist them in the area of logistics.
He commended the governor for his effort in fighting crime ,saying his assistance to them will go a long way in boosting their morale.
