ONELGA PDP Chairmanship Candidate Lists Security As Priority
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government, Job Vincent, has listed security as one of his top priorities if elected.
Job, who spoke at Ndoni during the zonal rally of the PDP said security would be the first port of call if elected.
“We shall take critical look at the security architecture of the council, evaluate it and improve on its areas where necessary,” he noted.
“I most sincerely appreciate the current administration leader, Amb. Victor Odili for ensuring the peace ONELGA people are enjoying today is sustained. We are sure to leverage on it.
“One thing we are sure is that Amb. Odili and his team did well in the area of security”, he stated.
Job, former ONELGA PDP scribe said security, youth empowerment, education and health which were dividends of democracy must be provided to the people to curtail restiveness.
“We shall engage all relevant stakeholders and traditional rulers to ensure we sleep with eyes closed, Security of lives and property of our people is paramount and we must pursue it with vigour”.
Speaking, the council chairman and Director General, ONELGA PDP chairmanship campaign team, Amb Victor Ifeanyi Odili, said the party flag bearer was the only one who could fit into the shoes of sustaining the security apparatus of ONELGA.
Amb Odili said he was proud security remained one of the best achievements of his administrative and said Job was coming to perform better than he had done.
He appreciated ONELGANS for giving him the opportunity to serve as the first elected chairman from Ndoni.
Also, Special Adviser to the Governor on Pension Matters, Nkem Nwaribe expressed confidence on the ability of the PDP chairmanship candidate to deliver democratic dividends
Nkem said he believed the chairmanship candidate would borrow a leaf from his boss, Governor Nyesom Wike and replicate same at the local level.
PDP leader in Egbema said Governor Nyesom Wike’s developmental strides especially in security, infrastructure, human capital could not be equaled and called on Rivers people of the state to show support to PDP.
