Rivers Community Hails Wike Over Etche Campus Of RSU
The chiefs and people of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State have lauded the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for siting a campus of the Rivers State University in Etche land.
In an interview with newsmen, the Ochimba/Paramount Ruler of Abara-Etche Community, Eze Jonah Nwala assured the Governor of the unflinching support of the chiefs, CDC, elders and the entire people of the area to the present administration.
Nwala explained that with the siting of the university in Etche, the consciousness of the people towards the need for higher education and comportment would now be enhanced.
“The siting of the campus in Etche would stimulate economic growth and enhance employment of youths in the area, thereby discouraging youth restiveness”, the monarch said.
Nwala assured the people of Rivers State of the hospitality of the people of Etche and the encouragement of the growth and development of the university.
The paramount ruler of Abara Community revealed that the entire people of Etche have been sensitised to give the Rivers State Government “our complete support for effective take-off soonest of this citadel of learning”.
Describing Governor Wike as a pragmatic and result-oriented leader, Nwala noted that the approval and release of the N3billion for the take-off of the campus conforms with his appellation as “Mr Quality Project”.
