Nkpor Kingdom Gets New Monarch
The newly installed Paramount Ruler of Nkpor Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH Eze Ikechi Wagbara, says his coronation will usher in peace and prosperity to the Kingdom.
Speaking shortly after his coronation, Eze Wagbara said that his palace would liaise with multinational companies operating in the Kingdom with a view to improving the living conditions of the people.
According to the Nkpor monarch, the people of Nkpor Kingdom deserved better living conditions, stressing that job opportunities would be sourced from the several multinational corporations operating in the area for the people.
The Ochi Ali Nkpor also pledged to use his position to attract development projects to communities in the area.
He said what the Kingdom needs is peace to prosper. Eze Wagbara who later constituted the Nkpor Kingdom Council of Chiefs also advised the youths to desist from all forms of anti-social behaviour, stressing that his palace will not tolerate any form of restiveness in the area.
He commended the people for their massive support, assuring that he would not disappoint them and the Kingdom.
In their seperate speeches, Chiefs Otu Olumeni, Chikwe Nye and Nwonodi Wagbara pledged the Kingdom’s support to the reign of the new paramount ruler.
They also called on the youths to give their full support to the monarch.
