RSG Recommits To Youth Dev
The Rivers State Government has reiterated its commitment to develop the youth of the state to achieve their potential as future leaders and productive assets of the state.
The Head of Rivers State Civil Service ( HoS) Rufus Godwin who stated this while addressing the staff of the ministry of youth during a meeting organised by the management of the ministry of youth, urged the staff to put in their best in the discharge of their duties.
In a press statement signed by the information officer of the ministry,Joy Owhonda, Godwin who was represented at the meeting by the parmanent secretary of the office of Head of Service, Nnamdi Okpu tasked staff to show commitment and dedication to duty in order to enhance productivity.
He emphasized the importance of capacity building and gave assurances of government’s commitment to train and retrain staff admonished them to invest in personal development in order to stay relevant in today’s changing world.
The Head of Service frowned at workers ignorance of service rules and the provisions of the scheme of service and further charged staff to get acquainted with the various cadre of the service and responsibilities.
He expressed optimism that issues of staff promotion would be addressed in the shortest possible time.
