LG Restates Commitment To Clean Environment
The Abua/Odual Local Government Council says it is determined to ensure that all communities in the local government area attain high level of cleanliness.
Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Ibuua Igona said this while monitoring last months environmental sanitation exercise in the area.
Hon. Igona said the council chairman Hon. Daniel Daniel would continue to compliment the efforts of the state governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike in promoting clean environment among residents of the area.
According to the Vice Chairman, the council is happy with the level of turn-out, zeal and commitment by the people to keep their environments clean without necessarily been forced to do so.
The areas we have monitored and the reports across the various communities show the awareness the council has created in regard to sanitation stressing that the council is determined to remain the best in the state.
The Vice Chairman said the support of the people has assisted the council to achieve a lot in sanitation, security and empowerment, warning those who throw refuse into drainage and waterways to desist or face wrath of the crime.
She called on companies to assist in making available their heavy duty vehicles in evacuation refuse. The areas monitored include market road, Abua, Odua, Ahoada road and some major points within the council.
