Bayelsa Governorship Aspirant Rates Dickson High

Bayelsa State governorship aspirant, Keniebi Okoko yesterday said that he was satisfied with what Governor Seriake Dickson had done with the resources available to him.
Addressing newsmen shortly after collecting his expression of interest and nomination form to contest for Bayelsa State governorship scheduled for November 16, Okoko said, “with regard to what happens in my state, I am satisfied to a large extest with what the governor has done with the resources available to him.
“If you look at what he has done in education, it is next to none. We have about two more universities that he has created; the Medical University and the African University in Torowa.
“He also recently launched the Educational Trust Fund to try to encourage people to have more access to educational fund for further education outside the country. I plan to continue with his dynamic strides and also, increase the level of industrialisation in the state, bring in PPP and more investors in the state.”
Asked about the rate of crime in the state, the governorship aspirant said that Bayelsa was not unique in crime in the country.
“Bayelsa State is not unique in crime in Nigeria today. Crime is universal, it is happening in Kaduna, Lagos, Rivers, Zamfara, it is not unique. There is no singular solution to it. But the most pertinent thing is that if the youths are employed and they are gainfully employed, it reduces crime.
He, however, debunked the story going around that he was an anointed candidate sponsored by some cabals.
“I am anointed by God, I do not know about cabal. I do not think there is cabal in Bayelsa State PDP. I am also a part-time pastor in Salvation Ministries. If you are anointed by God, it is the most important anointing”.
