Ozalla Muoghalu Super Cup Commences, Next Week
Organisers of Ozalla Muoghalu super four cup tournament to be competed for among notable teams, All Stars FC, Solid Foundation, Golden Boys
and United Friends FC in Ichida in Aniocha Local Government Area Anambra State have disclosed that this year’s edition of the competition will commence meet week Friday at Ezeokpu mini stadium Ichida.
According to the chairman local organizing committee of the competition, Theophilus Abega “we are working round the clock to ensure that necessary logistics needed for the opening game were properly put in place.”
“Interestingly, I can assure you that virtually all the qualified teams for this year’s edition of the competition have intensified their build up in readiness for the competition which of course, have been the subject of discussions among soccer fans in Ichida in Anambra State.
Meanwhile, a chat with the Cup donor/Sponsor of the competition, High Chief Lord Mike Ezedimora, reveals that he is working out plans to introduce some new innovations that would spice up this year’s competition which promises to be very exciting and explosive.
Ezedimora however disclosed that some prominent personalities and companies namely; HRM Igwe of Ichida Charles Ezeudogu, Chief Tochukwu Nzekwe, the
Ezeani Omenife Ichida, Chief Ogochukwu Anaedo, Chief Raymond Okoye, Chief Uchenna Ezejeula, Owe Ile G.P.O Chikere, Nestello Gateway Group, Rivman Nig
Ltd, Ekwulu Group Ltd, Best· Anakey Nig Ltd, JTI Organisation and Ebus Pharmaceutical stores have already indicated interest to be physically present at the opening game.
The Ugonabo of Ichida however seized the opportunity to call on Football Talent Chasers to do well to come forward to Ichida this Easter Period to see the best grass root soccer artistry on display.

Iwobi Optimistic On S’Eagles Qualification
Iwobi spoke to Tidesports source ahead of Nigeria’s crunch playoff semi-final against Gabon on Thursday, November 13, in Rabat, Morocco.
The 28-year-old was reacting to Nigeria’s shaky World Cup qualifying campaign that saw the Eagles finish second in Group C behind South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
“We’ve managed to rescue ourselves from the dead,” Iwobi told Tidesports source.
We know we have the players and the abilities to compete against any other country in the world.”
The Fulham star pointed to Nigeria’s star power, highlighting African Footballer of the Year winners Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen as proof of the squad’s quality.
“We have last year’s African best player (Ademola Lookman), the year before that (Victor Osimhen),” he said.
“It’ll be a shame if we don’t make it, but we have a lot of confidence. We just have to prove it to ourselves.”
Nigeria’s path to the United States, Canada and Mexico has been turbulent, with two coaches departing during the early stages of qualifying before Éric Chelle steadied the ship to steer the Super Eagles into November’s CAF playoffs.
Four nations from the continent – Nigeria, Cameroon, DR Congo and Gabon – will vie for a solitary spot to compete in next March’s inter-confederation playoffs, with a view to joining the already nine qualified African nations at the Finals.
It would mark Iwobi’s second appearance at the World Cup Finals and the Super Eagles’ first since the 2018 edition of the competition.
Back then, Iwobi featured in all three games as Nigeria was knocked out in the group stage.
