Urim FC To Expose, Groom Talented Players
The Founder of Urim Football Club of Port Harcourt, Obechi Obina has said that his reason to establish a football club is to discover hidden talents among young ones that want to grow in football within and outside the country.
He revealed that the club is just five months in existence, saying that the passion he has for the game also induced him to invest in it.
Obinna said this on Monday in an exculsive interview with Tidesports after a training session of his team at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.
“We are here to groom talents and exposed them to the nation and beyond” Obinna said.
According to him, the little money he has is what is using to finance the club, adding that the club have a lot of good players that have no direction.
“A lot of good and talented players on the streets need help to take them out of streets.
I will give direction to the talented ones. I will also give them the platform to display their potentials” he stated.
Urim FC will play one of the semi-final games against Rivers United today at the going State FA Cup, at Sharks Football Stadium ,Port Harcourt.
