Mrs Ayade Tasks Association On Prayers
Wife of Cross River State Governor, Dr (Mrs) Linda Ayade, has expressed appreciation to the members of Ipong Wives Association, Calabar branch, for their sacrificial love, prayers and support.
Dr. Ayade stated this at the Government House, Calabar, when members of the association paid her a courtesy visit. She maintained that prayer was key to success in whatever one did in life, for it wasonly God that could guarantee success, protection as well as keep one in any position, adding that, “despite whatever happens, God causes it to work for our good”.
The Governor’s wife said that she was happy with their commitments to fasting and prayer for her and her husband, the state and the 2019 general elections.
Also speaking, the President of the association, Mrs Rose Larry Agim, stated that the Calabar branch was a branch of the association of Ipong women married to men from Ipong political ward in Obudu Local Government Area, noting that the association had long been in existence.
She enumerated some of their projects they have carried out and what they are currently engaged in to include; registering three less privileged students for WAEC/NECO, sensitisation and counseling of children, moral values into children.
She commended, Prof Ben Ayade for his contributions towards the development of Cross River State.
Sounding philosophical, the Matron of the Association, Chief (Mrs) Mary Ugbe told the governor’s wife that “ better days were ahead.”
