Aspirant Decries Lawlessness In APC Govt
Renowned banker and management expert in Rivers State and chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the June 16, 2018 local government election, Dr Isaac Mietamuno Jaja, has described the activities of President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government and those of his allies in the current dispensation as elements of lawlessness.
Jaja said the utterances and statements of President Buhari’s allies had not shown that he is a leader who wants to bring peace in the country, noting that Buhari and his lieutenants had continued to conduct themselves in a manner that proved lack of decorum.
Speaking with The Tide in an interview on the state of the nation in Port Harcourt, Jaja said Buhari’s style of governance is not the pattern of Nigerian, it is not the way Nigerians act, and no previous president had behaved the way Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) behaves.
According to him, “I am saddened concerning what is going on in Nigeria. It is sad that the nation is always in the news, not for good leadership but for all the sad things that are taking place which are orchestrated by the government of President Buhari. The saddest of it is that he does not want peace and progress in Nigeria”.
Dr. Jaja insisted that the anti-democratic activities of the Commander, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Mr Akin Fakorede in Rivers State recently were the ready scripts of the APC and Buhari- federal government against the opposition party and innocent Nigerians, especially those from the southern Nigeria.
As he puts it, “What Buhari and his APC is dong in Rivers State has never happened, that government holds rallies in an unanthorised destinations in the state, where participants of the rallies are trucked from neighbouring states. All those attending APC’s rallies are not true Nigerians”.
