LG Boss Flays Vandalisation Of Power Facilities
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Alabo Francis Ada Ebenezer has frowned at the extent of damage done to the transformers, electric poles, fuse, armored cables and wires that supplied electricity to the people of Ogu, headquarters of the local government.
Ebenezer made his feeling known during an assessment visit to the vandalised electricity equipment in Ogu last Tuesday.
The Ogu/Bolo Local Government boss said it was unfortunate that perceived enemies of progress from Ogu were trying to bring down his administration, and charged the security agents to ensure that the culprits were brought to book to face the full wrath of the law.
He noted with dismay that this was the first time such extent of vandalisation was carried out and promised to hold a stakeholders’ meeting to address the issue.
Alabo Ebenezer called on the people of the area to protect government projects and facilities entrusted in their hands, saying security is for everyone.
Those who accompanied the chairman during the assessment visit were, the PDP Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Hon. Arnold Davids, the Secretary to the Council, Chief Faith Amaso, some principal officers, caretaker committee members and security agents in the area.
