2019: Group Gives Reasons For Endorsing Wike
A front line Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Forward Rivers Movement, has attributed rapid infrastructural revolution and peace in the Rivers State as reasons for endorsing Governor Nyesom Wike for second term in office.
The group also described Governor Wike as a detribalised politician bent on transforming the state’s economy for better.
Secretary of the group, Engineer Okocha Njobuanwu stated this in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt yesterday.
Njobuanwu who also lauded Governor Wike for embarking on numerous people-oriented projects across the state, said the governor had provided security in the state and made it conducive for investors.
He noted that the tangible projects the governor had embarked on across the communities in the state would generate employments for the teeming youths
According to him, the networks of roads in the state would open the state for outsiders to come and invest and create employments for the Rivers youths.
He further lauded the Governor for turning the state economy to the Dubai of Africa that would accommodate local and foreign investors in the state.
The Forward Rivers Movement, FRM, also appealled to youths of the state to shun violence and embrace total peace as the state prepares for 2019 governorship election.
On Permanent Voters Card, Engr Njubuanwu appealled to Rivers eligible youths to register for their PVC, saying that their PVC is their power to negotiate who to govern them come 2019 election.
