A prominent son of Ogbunabali Community in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Glory Atako made the commendation on the sidelines of the commissioning event at Ahia Square Market in Ogbunabali last Friday, Mr Atako said that it is interesting to observe that almost all the internal roads in Ogbunabali community are now wearing a new look as a result of the successful reconstruction project executed by Governor Wike led administration.
“No doubt, both the indigenes and non-indigenes living in Ogbunabali community are not only happy but also proud of a solid smooth internal road network that could guarantee free traffic and promote economic activities in the area.
He therefore prayed that efforts should be geared towards ensuring that the internal roads being reconstructed in Ogbunabali community were kept clean at all times so as to retain the beauty of the city.
The visibly elated Atako charged the inhabitants of Ogbunabali, including traders doing business in the area to refrain from dumping refuse into the drainage system so as not to disrupt the free flow of water when it rains. He appealed for the fixing of the street lights in all the reconstructed Ogbunabali internal roads as promised by Governor Wike during the commissioning ceremony.
Atako equally commended the people of Ogbunabali community for their peaceful disposition and cooperation accorded with the contractors all through the duration of the project.
He described the dredging and sand filling of Ogbunabali along Eastern Bye Pass Round-About as a welcome development.
Atako who is also Chairman Omni Event Centre along Eastern Bye Pass, Ogbunabali also expressed gratitude to some distinguished Ikwerre sons including former deputy Speaker of Representative Hon Austin Opara Member House of Representative, Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 1 Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Hon Chinwe Aguma (SAN) and Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Chief Azubuike Nmerukini, for their show of patriotism, commitment and quality representation of the people of Phalga at all times as well other elected and appointed officers in Phalga who are doing well.
