Oliseh Narrowly Escapes Borussia Blast
Ex-Nigeria skipper and coach Sunday Oliseh has narrowly escaped the blast which took place in Germany during a UEFA Champions League tie between Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.
The Tuesday clash could not go ahead as planned due to the blast which happened outside the Signal Iduna Park Stadium hours before the tie.
The Super Eagles legend revealed that he was 200 metres away from the scene as it unfolded ahead of the first leg quarter-final encounter.
Reports indicate that Oliseh was at the venue as he works for UEFA as one of the Technical Study Group the UEFA Champions League.
The ex- Dortmund defender took to his official Twitter page to tell the story as he thanked God for escaping the scare.
Furthermore, the coach of Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch First Division revealed the incident was ‘very’ scary for him, but is happy to be alive.
“Thank God! I Was just 200 meters from the Dortmund stadium when D bombs struck Dortmund team Bus! Really Scary day but grateful to be safe!,” Oliseh posted on his official Twitter handle.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the tie was moved for Wednesday following the blast which left Dortmund defender Marc Batra injured,.
Reports also followed that the defender underwent surgery to remove debris from his arm picked up from the blast.
