Police Rescue 12 Kids From Human Trafficker
The Delta State Police
Command
says it has rescued 12 kids from a lady who specialises in child-trafficking in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Simply identified as ‘Abigail’, the woman, popularly called ‘Madam Cash’, was arrested by the police at her bar, in Asaba.
The shop, our correspondent gathered was destroyed by irate youths when it was learnt that she was into human trafficking.
The Tide learnt that the woman was arrested three months ago when a child was found in her car by the police and was alleged that she tried to bribe the police with a whopping N2.5 million.
But mothers from different Delta communities had stormed the police headquarters in Okpanam Road, Asaba with photos and birth certificates, alleging that the woman knows the whereabouts of their missing children.
Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), SP Celestina Kalu told newsmen that the case was under investigations.
