Monarch Lauds Work On Roads In C’River
The paramount ruler of Yakurr in Cross River State, Chief Ofem Eteng, has commended the state government for embarking on the rehabilitation of two roads in his domain.
Eteng made the commendation in an interview with newsmen in Ugep, Yakurr local government area on Sunday.
“Governor Ben Ayade is one of the nation‘s governors who has interest of his people at heart.
“He gave approval for the rehabilitation of two rural roads in Ugep and today the engineers and other workers are busy working on the sites.’’
The paramount ruler named the road as the Obol-Ubu-Ujong-Inah by-pass and Ugep-Police Station-Ediba road.
He noted that the roads had been in deplorable condition before the government’s intervention.
“The road had been a death trap before now and I drew the attention of the governor to it and he responded immediately.
“And as I speak, the workers have already been mobilised to site and we are hopeful that very soon the roads will be repaired for people to use,” he said.
