IGP Promises Improved Healthcare

lice, Solomon Arase, has assured the police in Nigeria of a robust healthcare package for a health security in the country.
Solomon Arase, represented by AIG in charge of Zone 6 Police Medical Services, Mr. Abuwa Adenike, gave the assurance recently at a one-day health awareness campaign tagged: “Health clinic with police officers organized by Zone Six police Medical Department in Port Harcourt.
Arase remarked that a robust healthcare package for officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) would ensure healthy security forces to fight crime in the country.
IIGP who acknowledged the statutory duties of Nigeria police said it is only a healthy personnel that can provide a healthy security for Nigerians.
The IGP also charged men of the Nigerian Police to take their health serious by having regular medical check up.
Earlier, Zone Six Medical Department AIG Abuwa Adenike had said that health awareness was necessary to help keep officers and men of Nigeria Police Force in the zone in optimal state of health to carry out herculean tasks ahead of them.
Mrs Adenike, who outlined the duties of police including protection of lives and properties, preservation of law and order, prevention and detection of crimes as well as apprehension of offenders, stressed the need for police to be physically, mentally, and socially fit to carry out the enormous tasks in the society.
According to her, the forum also serves as an opportunity for men of Nigeria Police Force to unwind and reduce their stress level, as well as to educate the police and the public of the need to see health as the greatest asset in life.
She thanked the participants of the events urging them to make good use of the opportunity to better their health’s.
