Wike Receives Encomiums On Zero Potholes
A Port Harcourt-based businessman, Bro. Patrick Amaefule, has applauded the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, over the rehabilitation of Ojoto and Azikiwe Streets under his zero pothole policy.
Bro. Amaefule, who made the commendation durng a chat with The Tide in Port Harcourt, recently, hinted that the poor conditions of the roads since many years ago had adversely impacted on motorists and other road users.
Describing Governor Wike as a God-sent leader who had come to rescue Rivers people from bondage, he said, “We are happy with Governor Wike because he has saved us from many years of suffering. We thank him for the work he is doing in the state.”
According to Amaefule, Governor Wike has done within his 100 days in office what the past administration could not do in eight years,” pointing out that he has put smiles on the people’s faces within his short period in office.
He expressed the hope that Wike would do more in the years ahead and prayed God to guide and give him the enablement to deliver the dividends of democracy for the state.
Calling on the people and residents of the state to support and cooperate with the government, the businessman and Managing Director of Padyman Nigeria Limited, noted that people could now drive freely on the roads of Port Harcourt and environs.
He appealed to the government to seriously look into the issue of multiple taxation as the trend was becoming a cog in the wheel of business transactions in the state and enjoined all persons doing business to promptly pay their taxes to enable the government provide infrastructure for the peole.
