2017 AFCON: S’Eagles Must Beat Chad, Players Declare

The Lagos State U-12 Baseball and Soft-ball team celebratng with their trophy, yesterday in Port Harcourt.
Nigeria stars Ahmed Musa and John Ogu have declared that the Super Eagles do not have a choice than to start the AFCON qualifiers with victory over Chad.
They both acknowledged the fact that the fans were disappointed that the team failed to qualify for the last edition in 2015.
“It is good to start the qualifiers at home against Chad, we the players have to work very hard to see that we win the game well in other to make our fans happy again,” Ahmed Musa declared.
“We know it is not going to be a victory that will come on a platter of gold because it is Chad as minnows don’t exist again, so we have to be focused and determined to crush them and show that we are the better side.”
In a related vein, Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder Ogu said the Eagles can no longer afford any mistakes against Chad in Kaduna this weekend.
“I am looking forward to the game against Chad with great expectation. We make mistake in the past and we must not make any mistake this time around as we did in the last qualifiers,” he told AfricanFootball.com
“We want to enhance our reputation as the best team in Africa. We are ready for the task.”
